I couldn't think of a proper name for this photo so I used the file name the camera assigned to it. I didn't want you to mistake it for the 2,700th photo I took of this particular plant blossom; or for that matter the 2,700th photo I've uploaded. I have absolutely no idea what the name of this particular shrub is. Though I probably should considering I planted two of them on the property some 15 years ago. They are covered with clusters of small blossoms and later on will produce small red berries as the summer progresses. Hope you enjoy it and your comments welcomed. After doing some online searching I think this is a service berry plant. Doesn't mean I'm going to change the image name though, not after the considerable thought process that went into it. Names like that don't grow on trees ya know. :)

It's a beauty whatever it is. Nice close-up image.

I can't help with an identification either, Wendell. But it's a really good close up and having a darkish blurred background makes the flowers stand out well.

Hey Wendell
I wish I knew what these were called but I cannot remember! I have seen them though! They are really a pretty flower and your shot does them justice! They look really good!

Hi Wendell!

They are so cute! Love it! I took a look at some sites to find this plant and unfortunately I can not help you. Still, regardless of the name, label, your photo brings a wonderful delicacy! this is the name of your photo: delicacy.

Thank you for your last two kind and fun comments that make me smile. You are right, the duck was not me (lol) but was part of me for a long time in my childhood.

Have a very pleasant sunday!

Hi Wendell...

"Image #2700"? When I saw that title, I had to see the photograph. Thanks for the explanation. trixxie17 (aka Kathy) would probably know what kind of flower this is.

"Image #2700" has outstanding clarity and detail. The depth of field is excellent and really showcases the flowers. It's not dazzling enough to get a high score in the VB, but it's an excellent photo.

I love this shot Wendell and have saved it for my DT. I appreciate Roger's confidence in my identifcation skill but I'm not sure - from the red leaf I'd say it was flowering plum which does form small fruit but not the kind of plums we consume. They come in both a white and pink flower variety. Whatever it is - it's lovely.

I though you had taken 2700 shots of this flower, lol. Certainly you have started growing some names. Very good clarity and details in this my friend. Well done.

All I know is that this is a most precious little flower. The center of them looks like a tiny bouquet in itself too! And those red leaves, how pretty! I'm happy you found these and shared them with us in this perfect photo. Hey, how about doing a painting of them? You would do it so well!!.I've never forgotten the beautiful painting you did of the photo I took of the purple chair scene! Time for another one please?......Verena
