He ain't heavy ... he's merely lazy.

Okay Roger, I hope this proves that I'm capable of including people in my photos. In this case they add something to the photo, or at least add to the title I was forced to come up with.

Another photo from Victoria Park. For some reason I decided to step down into Lepper Brook. Maybe it was to cool my heels on this hot day. While I was there taking a few photos seemed like a sensible thing to do. Good thing I happened to be carrying a camera. Otherwise I'd look pretty foolish making a 'click' sound while pretending to take photos. Not that it's stopped me before. It also seemed natural that people would trickle into and out of the scene. Some even stopped to point at the funny man in the stream, though none saw fit to toss some coinage in the camera bag.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Where oh where should I begin? Let's start at the beginning, shall we? First of all that's one hilarious narrative. Secondly, Wendell, I never doubted for a second that you weren't capable of putting a few stray people in your photos. It's clear that you hate people and take great joy in having them in your shots just so that you can clone entire families into oblivion. Thirdly, LEPPER BROOK!!?? Named for the upstream leper colony? Fourthly, it's clear from that tree in the distance on the right side of the creek that your horizon is off yet again. To make matters worse, the tree next to the family is the only truly straight up and down item in the shot which means that the family is going to tip over and fall into the creek. Fifthly, the family dressed entirely in blue throws the balance of color of the shot off to the point where I had to install a seat harness on my chair so that I wouldn't fall off while trying to view your image.

Seriously, I really like the posting, both narrative and image. The only real problem I see are the white leaves at the top slightly right of center and the leaves on both sides that seem to be hanging in mid-air. Considering the bizarre lighting situation, it's a first class effort.

You mean to tell me that not even the child in the backpack handed out any coinage or green? How cheap! I would of at least threw a quarter out your way! A very nice looking place you got here! Love that nice deep green.

Lovely sense of perspective long the bottom of the river and the slimpse of sky through the trees is really nice too.

"Now, Wendell! How many times have I told you to not go playing in the brook? Once again, you've gotten wet shoes and ankles, ruined your brand new pair of school pants (which, by the way, you shouldn't have been wearing on this hike!), and nearly got your camera wet. What will we do with you - you never learn!"

Terrific color saturation in a pleasing composition. Thad

Well Wendell i like to see man kind i some shot it adds to the scene and tells a story, like this is a place not just for scenery and taken photo but for hiking and maybe bike- rides too.The angle you took the shot from is great and thanks for getting your shoes and socks wet for us.The depth of fiend is spot on, and great detail in this shot as well my friend. The sky with it's beautiful colours and cloud add I lovely feel to this shot as well.

Just remember that for every person you have cloned out of a photo, there are ten that have cloned you out Wendell. So if you are feeling a tad transparent, you know the reason.
Looks like you dropped in a new sky. It shows in the tree tops.
Great angle.

wonderful capture Wendell, I definitely wouldn't be carrying a child down that long path. Super depth and really like the creek and sky are pointing at each other
