Some yellow, some pink, I edited it I think. Some light, some dark, I shot it in a park.

Well that's the extent of my rhyming skills. Something a little foofy for Friday. A bloom found growing in the rose section of the Halifax Public Gardens. Which probably means there's a good chance this is a rose by another name. But there will be no name calling here.

Posted for our dear friend Susanne.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

You have shown your soft side and also the soft side of the rose Wendell. You don't always have to be a thorn. Good shot.

You are a good man
nice gesture for Susanne

Nicely shot Wendell - believe I would have cropped up to the leaves on the left to get rid of the dirt, the rose would still not be truly centered but the eye woulk be drawn to the flower.

Wonderful close-up of this splendid bloom. Yes, I might have cropped a bit, still a beautiful example.

Hi, Wendell...

First of all I'm sorry that I'm so far behind in my comments. I'm still in San Diego and noticed that I was approaching 70 comments. I figured I'd better start at the top and work my way down. Maybe I'll get to your previous postings in a year or two.

I guess today is Friday judging by the rose on my brother's monitor. It practically kills me to say this, but I can't find my fault with your flower shot other than it's a flower. Looks to me like you did a great job handling some powerful direct sunlight. The exposure is right on the button. The shot is well focused, and I'm not so upset about your showing the dirt. I would have enjoyed the shot more if the dirt was scantily clad women, but then someone would have said something about the eye being drawn away from the rose. Sometimes you just can't win. I'd give this shot a solid 7.75 out of 10.
