A view of the Cabot Trail winding its way through the highlands of Cape Breton.

I had to rescue the sea and sky in this photo. Both being washed out in the original shot. A few lighting adjustments were known to be made to the rest of the scene.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Good post-work on this. I love the color of the water here. I also like how it goes out-of-focus and soft in the distance. Reminds me of the Tolkien verse, The Road Goes Ever On.

It is a good looking scene Wendell. The composition with the shoreline and the road works well.
I am not a big fan of the soft focus.

Very nice image although very soft focus for you. - You have some outstanding scenery up there - looks like my kind of place.

It sure is a great drive. It does sharpen up more, Wendell.

I have a shot hanging on my wall that's pretty similar to this. I took it near Big Sur 35 years ago. Seems to me your shot might have been suffering from that ocean mist that I'm always fighting in the backgrounds of my latest postings. ReDynaMix helps sometimes but has a way of changing colors and making nature look unnatural. I can tell you worked hard on this one but the cloning (and cleaning) is not as seamless as usual. It's not so easy getting rid of that ocean mist, is it. Nonetheless, you've captured the essence of a beautiful scene.

Out of curiosity....how far is this from your house? I'm 2 hours from Big Sur and haven't been there in a few decades.

Great composition however the shot appears to have been airbrushed??
