As anyone can tell what we have here is a common crow sitting in a poplar tree. Don't be confused by the maple in the foreground because that is actually an oak, but not a mighty oak. The crow itself does not appear to be all too popular with its mates.

I would never have guess it was a poplar, lol. Great patterns in the trees with the white stuff, he doesn't looked pleased either. I shoveled 2 hours this morning.

Great composition to this photo and I love how you have the bird on the far left and I like the sharp detail in the branches with the snow and bark showing in this photograph.
