So having made this attempt to capture this scene in a winter setting I finally got around to taking a second kick at the can. Only to once again come to the realization that I almost got it right. So if you all wouldn't mind taking a half-step to the right and crouch down just a little then the scenes should match up. The next time I try this I'm just going to set the camera up on a tripod and take the first image and then return in six months for the second image. I'm sure the camera and tripod should still be there when I come back.

That's an interesting comment Wendell....Marking the 'exact' place for a tripod...then returning to that same spot each month to take the same shot!...be worth seeing just what the changes would be..would also make a great montage!..
