So I went for a little jaunt through the park today to see if there was anything I had missed photographing during my last visit there. I just wish I had checked the weather forecast before setting out as it decided today would be a great day to rain. To add insult to injury as it were, after trekking around in misery I finally found a bench to rest my weary soul upon. Only to find my way blocked by this determined little guy. Unprepared to slog it out and not knowing how many more of them might spring out from hiding I retreated, strategically. That is to say I managed to maintain an upright position for most of my backpedaling. I plan on returning with my trusty blowtorch and reclaiming the bench and to a lesser degree my dignity if I can find where I dropped it in the snow.Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I don't think this snowman would stop Owd Bob from "testing" that bench. Am I going looney or do I see a face in the trunk of the tree? Good one Wendell.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who saw that face. I think that was its last victim frozen in place.

I am with Doug (Mirto) if a bench is there......then.......

At first I thought you got dumped on with all that hanging snow!...would be typical at the amount you were trekking through!

Wonderful write-up Wendell and I see the face also - OB guarding the bench perhaps?

I had no idea before now that these guys had such an agenda and that face in the tree is disturbing...great intro and revelation with this fine shot.
