The title is a bit of a misnomer as it implies that winter has left and then suddenly and unexpectedly reappeared. From the looks of the weather forecast winter has no intentions on leaving for the foreseeable future. Here you can see the falls have completely frozen over as compared to the same scene as shot a few weeks ago. It has gotten colder instead of warmer as the year progresses.

You seem to have covered the entire scene in this post. Your previous posts from this location focused on specific areas (falls, stairs, paths) It is nice to see it from this perspective Wendell. The frozen falls are awesome. Hey..enjoy the winter...I'll be out on the BBQ this evening. (lol)

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

This is such a nice capture even though it's snow, it a lovely image. I would love to visit this place, it looks so inviting.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Wow another stunning looking capture and one breath taking photo to,I alway get the feeling of how large the area is with in your photos and the composition is superb Wendell.Plus lovely natural colours and nice textures with in the snow and ice too.
