It took me a while to figure out what exactly to call this one and it only becomes obvious when you spot the reason for the name. Other than that this is just a shot of the duck pond minus the ducks that can usually be found roaming about the place. There is a small flock of starlings roosting in one of the trees if that helps make up for the lack of the ducks for any of you.

Upon reading your title before opening, I was anticipating a fishing photo, Wendell. Some fisherman with his line stuck up in a tree. This is much nicer and a beautiful landscape.

Could have had..'Trees by the Waterside on a Overcast Evening'! or 'Stormy'!

This morning I have seen Jimbob's Jimi Hendrix and your beautiful Purple Haze. I think I have detected a theme for today. Wendell, The blues, purples, greens and browns all come together for a terrific composition.

The reed cut away so people like myself can have a days fishing lol.Great looking photography and I love the light and ripples running across the lake and the detail is lovely and sharp plus I love the over cast sky in this photo it adds a nice feel to the scene,also spot on composition to my friend.
