Prior to the editing there was a cow in the photo. But it was in the wrong position and regardless of my pleadings and admonishments it refused to move to a more convenient location in the scene. I have no idea as to how one goes about bribing a cow into doing your bidding, but I now know that bbq sauce does little in the encouraging department. Now I know what you're thinking: "Why not wait until the cow moves on?" Excellent question and that was my intent. But that one cow was soon joined by several other friends who must have taken offense at my offering or wanted in on the action themselves. With cows you can never be too sure what is going on in their heads. You may well ask: "Why are you going on about non-existent cows in the photo and just get it over with and call it 'Tree'?" Well that raises the question of which tree. There are an awful lot of them in the image after all. I could be talking of that one deep in the shadows while you are distracted by the one in the foreground. And the last thing we need around here is more confusion.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Beautiful image...the invisible cows really enhance the photo!! The tree looks like a touch of fall has arrived. Nice one.

I bet it was "A Very Strange Enchanted Cow", and Though She Wandered Very Far, Very Far, she ended up in Digby.

This is a beautiful shot, and the far leaning tree makes an excellent prime subject.

You certainly did that to me this morning..regardless of the many pots of coffee I had!

Cows are fickle....but I come to realise that us humans are too!...☺

You still came back with a nice scene!

I think is outstanding with the simple but well contrasted color, and saturation, I bet the cow moved into the scene after you left. :) =..=tigs

That's sort of my experience with butterflies - I end up with a nice flower shot and no butterfly as you did with this portrait of a cowless pasture.

You becoming a Vegetarian or what, Wendell? You don't bribe the cow, you bribe the bull. He bellows in her ear and she would follow him anywhere.
The scene has a good look to it, albeit cowless.

Oh my, did you scare the cow off Wendell? The meadow and trees looks like fall is starting to arrive down in your part of country.
