The old train station in Tatamagouche, NS. The tracks were long ago torn up and the building all but forgotten until someone with a passion for trains turned the place into a rail car inn. He's really got this thing for cabooses.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Perhaps his affinity for cabooses relates to him as always being the last one in line. Nicely photographed and presented, Wendell.

I think it is great one some one comes along and saves place like this and give them life again plus most of all saving a peace of history. You captured this scene one hindered persent and it as a look like it colour be used in films as it as bit of a error look to it but nice too.The detail and colour tones are amazing plus spot on compstion and the train at the side adds a nice touch too.

That's a really unique looking Inn - it would be wonderful to have the caboose as the breakfast room or gift shot. Marvelous shot & post work

Gorgeous architecture in this old station, Wendell. I love that upstairs deck. It seems larger than normal, perhaps so that people waiting for train could wait up there and see far down the tracts. I like the caboose also. Your photo does a grand job on this nostalgic site.

Its great structures such as this are being preserved. It's getting to the point where many such buildings that were built around the turn of the century or late 1800's are being demolished because it's too costly to maintain them.
