Some may find it a bit dark but I like it. It leads the eye to the building and adds some touch of mystery to the image. Given your description I find the result really great...

Darkness is sometimes good and even desireable with some images, I find this one strikes the right balance as the darkness leads you easily into the light and the great scene before us. Good work.

I am like Yin & Yang, my lighter side is balanced by my darkerside, embrace both & you get the whole me, play with one & you will meet the other...

Very nice shot, u captured a secret place to comtemplate, and even a the unexpensive camera you got a tremedous shot. It very well posted, the framing, the perspetive and the colors are so clear and deep....excelent!!!, tha camera doesnt matter, the great thing is, captured a great places, moments or everything you want show up......
