As I promised before is time for some words about the tragic story of the Tavora family that built this palace, as you can see above the windows the figures of the Tavoras members are all destroyed, not destroyed by the time but by the anger of the the Portguese king Joseph I, is anger was so big against the Tavora family that he sent to erase the Tavoras name from the portuguese ground, some houses were demolished, and in the others like the in this one they sent destroy all the details that link the building to the Tavora family. It looks so peaceful here now , a great photo with this shaded light.The history is tragic but the fact that it remained here still is great for the people there.
