Wow, thanks everyone for your comments. That's not where I live (lol) - it's one of the routes to travel to the Scottish Highlands. Reason for name - visit: http://www.visit-islay.com/roadto/rest.html . Not sure about trees - erm, would need to ask the Forestry Commission.
Yeah, I was fortunate with the lighting, cos 2 minutes later, the clouds completely covered the sun and we had to get on with the journey so I couldn't have waited for it to pass. I already had my friend tapping fingers waiting while I jumped about trying to get the right angle. Ta.
And Al - ta for compliment while reminding me of priorities - back to studies, honest! :o)
At times life is wicked and I just can't see the light, a silver lining sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem right, whatever life brings, I've been through everything, and now I'm on my knees again but I know I must go on, although I hurt I must be strong, because inside I know that many feel this way... ~Creed~
« So let us then try to climb the mountain, not by stepping on what is below us, but to pull us up at what is above us, for my part at the stars; amen. »
I should add that I'm not seriously taking credit for something which is just natural beauty - all I take credit for is choosing the angle and waiting for a cloud to move!
This surely must be a landscape out of one of the Lord of the Rings films. Seems so surreal a landscape i always imaged from a book turns out to be real. Thanks for sharing its a great image
Wow, what an exceptional view here in this image. The clarity is awesom and the overall picture is breathtaking. This is just a wonderful shot. Thanks so much for sharing this.
