Incendia again. This is an overnight render. It's still a bit jagged but I wanted little feedback. It continues to render on my home machine and I'll let it go another 12 hours or so to see if things smooth out. The real goal here was to play with perspective settings in the program. You can select orthographic or perspective for camera settings. Here I have used perspective and the difference is quite apparent in the angles of the circles (the high ones you are looking through the bottom and the low ones you are looking through the top). With orthographic, the 3d perspective is the same throughout. I found the trick to perspective here is the aperture setting - too high tends to amplify the perspective if you like, that is it begins to take on a "Fisheye" lens effect. Anyway, hope you like it so far. If not, PLEASE tell me why - that's why I'm posting this. Thanks all.

I am not sure of the recipe, but the outcome is quite pretty. Reminds me of a hanging mobile without the strings. I see what you mean about looking up into the circles or looking down into them. I like that. The background color is a good choice too. This looks like a really interesting program. I want to see more of what you can do with it.

Did you use any shapes in there? I think you needed to fill it out a bit more Mike. The apeture thing still seems to remain active even in the preview so when you drag the mouse about to get a different view you can end up with some wacky stuff.

Floating points! I'm glad you're trying to figure out that Incendia, cause I STILL haven't gotten any further. Just no time! I think you're getting the hang of it more and more. Listen to Ian. He figures everything out!..lol..Great work!

This is cool, I like it! I think ianmacappin has a good point, would be nice to see the fractal closer up.

i mostly love it; however, I think the discrepancy comes when one's trying to come up with a size on this. The problem comes when the elements behind - closer to the horizon, end up being as sharp and as well-resolved as the elements in front, thus confusing the eye. Also, those on the bottom seem too close to exhibit such a perspective on the ring... I guess they're too big. But that's just optics. From aesthetic POV, this is fantastic and really interesting.
