While visiting my son in Chico last weekend we took a drive to Oregon City, Ca and this is the bridge entering the city. I have never been there before and we just stumbled onto it on our way to the North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve. It's not very big and not particularly majestic but it is quaint. I took this shot from inside the bridge obviously. I love the design and woodwork being as I was a carpenter for many years. More info here:Bridge

Bruce, I like to copy SAW's comment above, with respect that I didn't even see a thumbnail.

I was able to view this one with no problem, so hopefully the glitch is over. I like bridges, and your take on this one shows us the craftmanship that goes into the building of one. tigs=^..^=

I always dig repetitive lines in photography, particularly in architecture, and here I'm also seeing a very gradual "fan" created by the stringers up there; the far one at the bottom of the photo is aligned with the frame's edge but as the others approach the viewer, each one has a little more tilt to it, until the last, short one, in the upper left corner, has finished the run of stringers at just over 10 degrees in tilt. A phenomenon of gentle perspective that one can only see and appreciate if enough time is spent studying an image. S&F, Bruce... thanks.

When I open the new images gallery the images on the right side extend beyond the white frame BG into the right "ad" area. Is this happening to anyone else? I mentioned it to Les and I'm waiting for a reply:)

Bruce, the problem you mention is something I experienced yesterday but that has cleared up for me now...however, with respect to your image here, I am still seeing the thumbnail in the new images but when I get here nothing...I can assume, however, it is a great image judging from Nik's accolades.

Bruce, in addition to my comment above, I still can't see the image when using the link in my friends-list. When I go the 'New Images' gallery (left column on the Caedes main page), I can only see the thumbnail version. Any attempt to enlarge it, isn't successful to me.
Hope you'll understand that I don't like to provide you with a comment that is only based on a thumbnail version. Sorry for that, Buddy!

For what its worth, I have no problem view the image. There is some nice woodworking going on in this shot.
