Sue and I go hiking in our neighborhood along the Briones to Mt. Diablo Regional Trail and we came across this tree that seemed to have trouble getting off the ground:):) I'm calling it the "Slug Tree", that's what it looks like to me ha ha:) Anyway I thought it was unusual. I hope you can appreciate nature doing her thing:):) Found here: 37.917045, -122.084316

A very rare capture, Bruce. I've never seen such a 'Slug Tree phenomenon' before.
Think that a tree was lazy in its childhood days and preferred the horizontal position instead of standing upright permanently.

It looks like they have removed some of its appendages so it will never stand BB. "Slug Tree" is a perfect name.
I have seen them leaning, but never outright laying down.
