The diagonal instantly attracts. I love the contrasting colours. The skeletal tree has had a good life on that hillside

To my mind, Bruce, it is when a tree is reduced to its skeleton like this is when it is at its most evocative. The angle at which you have photographed it, and the time of day and season, is what gives it back some semblance of life.
