The Great Blue Heron...looking for Lunch. Believe it or not, this big fella is pretty ornery, and highly respected by the other birds. "Size" does matter!! :-)

Amazing shot! I love the detail of the feathers on the bird, looks like he's been for a swim. Love everything about this shot, the colour, lighting, etc!

wow this is spectacular!!!!! great clarity! and i love how the colors are working together too. you have the toned down blues of the bird and the green of the water with just a few moments of bright green in the background and brighter blue in the bird. also the skinny sticks in the foreground are mimicking the birds skinny legs except going in opposite directions. beautiful creature. i see many around my pond but they are so hard to get good shots of. you must have a great zoom huh?
