This is great. I really like this shot, but I have to tell you that when I supersized it I thought it looked like a toy boat. It must be the angle or something, but it sure makes for an interesting view!!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
I got that too. That is a strange effect. I think it's a combination of the DOF and angle. It looks like it's from one of those claymation cartoons. Nice detail and I do like the way the DOF hones in your attention just like it's supposed to.
This shot is too good to have a bar down the center. Since it's in the manipulation category, I think the bar would have been removed, so I'm guessing that this is a clever illusion using a toy boat.
"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
Considering the title, I was looking for something different. I don't know if you're aware that this is the title of one of the best rock songs ever written. The image is not a suitable tribute.
