Yes, the whole thing (not just frame) is exotic! I especially like the satiny texture and the wealth of detail. It's a rather different color combination, too, that works very well.

I love it....I'm trying to learn how to create fractals that are as beautiful as this and as pleasant to look at. The colors here are great. I've got it on my desktop to study !!!

I like this a lot as an image. It is quite simple, very elegant and full of interest. The framing works well to structure and hold the fractal, I think, and Anastasiatheo01 is spot on about the colour combination here.

I'm less keen on this as a desktop because the beautiful balance you have here will be disrupted by such things as menu bars and/or docks and/or status bars etc. In my case, this is just a menu bar at the top, but it will still be enough to throw things off, and then I think images start to have a top-heavy/bottom-heavy/side-heavy look which doesn't seem quite "right". But frames are evidently popular, so take this for what it is worth!

Very nice work on this, really. It does look extremely nice - and that is something I almost never say about frames even when considering images as opposed to desktops.

Really neat fractal. Looks like satin or silk cut outs.

Lovely work. I really love the shiny color and the beautiful design. Did you do this in PS? Can I ask how?

The fractal was done with Mind Boggling lite which you can find free on the net. I then took it into photoshop and recolored it, made an octagonal selection applied some blending options then a rounded square with more blending options for the frame.
