The chapel was designed by the Italian architect Salucci from 1820 to 1824. The building was modelled on the Pantheon in Rome. The dome is classical stucco in the Corinthian style and the chapel was built as a Russian Orthodox church. See another view of the Grabkapelle (burial chapel) here.

Hi Chris, I really like the depth of colour you get at ground level. The sky could probably be improved slightly but I think that Photofiltre may be a bit limited for doing this. You could, however, improve the dome quite easily. I have found by focusing on the horizon I am more likely to get a better balance of colour between sky and land. Photoshop is amazing at correcting this. Lovely photo though - hope I am not overdoing the suggestions here! Just tell me to shut up if I am! ;)

That is such a cool building, and what great info you have on it. Your composition is wonderful, and great colors.

It's nice to see the closer view, but I'm really glad we got the one from the distance to see the setting of it all! Great capture and thanks for the details as well.

I like your composition, but I have to agree with Patti. This is a good picture that could be even better :)
