This is the view of the South Wall from atop the Watchtower. The wall to the left of the turret is all that's left of the outermost wall that enclosed the small ward. The second wall with the window in it is all that remains of the Great Hall. The third, and innermost wall with the windows, is the largest freestanding section on the entire hilltop. It is the southern end piece of the enclosure that housed the Court kitchen and the ovens along the north wall.

You've certainly gotten some great shots of the ruins. They've all had their own distinctive flavor and appeal. Excellent job. :)

I find it amazing that some of these walls, especially the top ones have stood the test of time! Amazing colours and textures again - you definitely have a good eye for a photograph Chris! - the composition is very good!

Those colors are very vibrant, Chris. I love the ruins you have been showing us. Is this a Panasonic camera that you are using? Sometimes just a polarizing lens helps with the sky color.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I can tell you, I am also not very good with fixing the sky, when it is to white. I stopped trying it by now. Smile. I like those ruins a lot. I like how the stones have got so many different colours over the years and also, that I can clearly see, this is a giant.

I would be happy, seeing you in my galerie. Today I've posted Imperial Palace Vienna.

A postcard image, if I ever saw one. Very scenic.
