My last trip to Bad Urach before I leave Germany. I decided to forego the ruins and see the falls. Chris (boremachine) and Stephen's (bean811) waterfall shots fascinated me and I wanted to experiment with the "shutter priority" mode on my camera. This and "The Top of the Falls" are the result. See this from another angle here.

another excellent capture Chris! Very good earthy tones and the shutter speed has given the water a dreamy look. Maybe needs a slight adjustment so the water runs exactly straight down, but otherwise a really good shot!

How unusual the way the water cascades and it looks like a cavern to the left. That shutter mode is great, isn't it. Looks like you mastered it in one day. Wonderful shot. Where are you going, Chris?

That's really cool. And your shutter speed is wonderful. Only one thing that wonders me, I can't see the top of the falls. It's so intriguing, I love it, and absolutely the photo itself. Did you shoot it vertically by any chance?

I'm really glad that I could influence you a bit to forgo the ruins, which you are so great at capturing!! But, it couldn't have been that hard of a decision, because this place looks beautiful...very good use of shutter speed. I love how the falls in the back have a real misty quality, while you still managed to include the two small streams in the foreground. The moss really looks great here too!! Excellent job, Chris!! Now I really want to go shoot some ruins....but I don't know if there are any around here!

You did a great job with the water, I love this shot also. What speed did you finally end up using to get this shot?
