"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious - the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science." - Albert Einstein ----------- Taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1
This is a splendid photograph of an exquisite flower. The shot has remarkable clarity and detail, marvelous shades of pink and a superb depth of field. I checked out your gallery and see one common characteristic in your flower pictures that confuses me. Why isn't the entire bloom shown in the photo? Other than a cropping issue that confuses me, I think it's a striking photo.

I just prefer to take macros of flowers is all. I think that most people don't tend to look at the flower in that close up way, and instead try and frame a picture from too far back in order to get in "the whole flower". Everyone generally knows what a whole sunflower looks like, but they might not have noticed the way the inner portion of it whorls in pattern, or how it has so many different shades of yellow and black.
