Hello Rich...I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your beautiful pet Dakota....In this picture her eyes shows the love she had for you my friend,"treasure it"....Allow yourself time to grieve and heal, and be thankful that your life was made that much better by sharing it with your beloved Dakota...All the very best to you Rich....Mick.
Very sorry for your loss...what a beautiful face...it will take time to get over but take comfort in your memories, the good home she had, and your lovely photo(s).
In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a pet recently also, and last year I lost my 14 yr old Brittany Spaniel, Starlight. Your Dakota is gorgeous. I hope you find the strength and courage to get through this. I know how hard it can be.
Three years? Oh, man, the old saying about the best ones lasting too short a time is true. We lost the smartest and sweetest border collie ever born at about the same age. Very tough on us and the kids but we kept getting another one and that always helps. Goldens are great dogs and this one looks to be a real sweetie and rarin' for fun. I hope you've either gotten another one or are planning to. My current border collie siblings are the 16th and 17th borders I've had (and the 35th and 36th dogs I've had).
