This is the front of the Moore building on main Street Of Pipestone MN. Leon Moore sculpted the faces fro the Facade of the Building, he also built the two story building in 1896 from Sioux Quartzite from the Quarry he owned near town. This photo was taken after about a 2 week cold snap when temps stayed below 0, this was a day close to 30 and frost came out of the usually red Quartzite. also known as Hoar frost. As Main Street is lined with buildings built out of Quartzite, it's quite beautiful to behold.

Leon Moore did a great job of sculpting - the two above the windows remind me of "Tragedy & Comedy" masks. The large one in the center is wonderful of the man and two women. (Did he have two wives?) The brick is very pretty also and it is interesting that there are rows of very narrow brick in with other size brick. Great shot Rich.

Beautifully composed shot. I love the snow on the the ledges. Excellent colors and textures.
