I've never seen or heard of this bird species before! He seems to be enjoying himself as he wades through the water lettuce. I especially like the lighting.

A beautiful bird - his markings are so pretty Alex. Is this some species of heron? Really looks good among those huge leaves.

They sure have marvelous markings, marvelous composition, detail and lighting. I don't remember seeing those when down in FL
