I find this very fascinating and thought provoking. It is amazing you have kept this cup for so long and it still looks in great condition. He seemed somewhat obsessed with Marilyn Monroe and says she was murdered - he has the date correct as well. Thanks for something unique :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
---A few people asked to see the rest of the mystery cup I posted yesterday. Here are the other angles of the cup, It's still mysterious yet intriguing---
I agree with the latter part of your narrative Alex, because I said something similar on my comment on your previous post as well.
Hope however that the persons who have requested you for the rest of this mystery can provide us with a solution of this intriguing story. Will be hard however. The fact that he has wished the 'murdered' Marylin Monroe a happy birthday, and has written her name at least twice on this cup again, may be an indication of his mental state.

I strongly suspect he was in a mental institution at one point. When he wrote "Ypsilanti Nut" there is a large mental hospital there, so I'm assuming that's part of the puzzle. Also "Said Nuts to AFL" means he more or less told the AFL CIO union to bugger off.
This is a really fascinating photo! He's got a lot of history recorded on that styrofoam cup...including a handicap race horse named Coaltown who won the race at Arlington in July 1949. I googled it and the horse won on the July 23, not July 4 as the cup says! lol Still what a memory this guy has!
