This morning when I glanced out my patio door onto the lake, I noticed one of our alligator friends was hanging out in the edge of the lake. I didn't want it to develop bad habits that would get it caught and put down, so I walked over to it, and got about 2 feet from it when it jumped in the lake and swam away. I personally wouldn't mind it being so close, but once it gets that cozy around humans, the next step for them is a handbag or shoes. Usually when someone has been feeding them is when they start to exhibit this sort of behavior. The women who lives next to where I took this photo said she saw people tossing it food so that explains it. Taken today 12/23/17
Good shot.
