The surgery went very well and I'm on the road to recovery. I remember them saying they are giving me something to relax me and being wheeled down the hall. I vaguely remember the anesthesiologist putting a mask on me, but not sure. The next thing I was wide awake in the recovery room and the surgeon was at the nurse's station doing paperwork. He came over smiling and said the operation was two thumbs up. I was released a short time later. I felt fine and came out of the anesthesia quite well. My girlfriend drove my car and although I'm somewhat better, yesterday was a little uncomfortable but no real pain, the only thing I have taken so far is two Tylenol. I am starting to feel better and made a promise to everyone not to overdo it! Thank you all for the touching support and thoughts. For what it's worth, this is a photo of me about 3 days old.
