Greetings once more! I do apologize profusely that I haven't commented or uploaded much here. As mentioned earlier, I do fondly think of you here despite my absence. We are well for the most part. I am still working, and everything else is going as well as it can. I have been working somewhat odd shifts, and along with house work, chores, email, etc Caedes gets pushed aside. I really wish and hope all is well with everyone here. On to my entry. A friend took this picture of a place that is very dear to my heart. These are called "The red rocks" and although you cannot see it in this shot, when the weather is good it truly lives up to its name. My mother was born less than a mile from where this photo was taken, and most of my family is from the town a couple miles up there road from here called Baraga. My mother's ashes along with mine will be cast along this stretch of coastline one day. Although it doesn't seem like it from this shot, there is so much great history and heritage in this area. Take care. By the way This is an alternate view of the area I submitted earlier

Alex, although I don't know how old you are, I assume that (if you stay healthy) you still have years to live. I base my assumption because I know when your dear mother has been passed away.
Once we must all end our earthly life. It takes a certain courage to think about this during your lifetime. I praise you for that. What doesn't surprise me too, is that you want your ashes to be scattered with your mother's because I know what she has meant to you. I can't judge about the chosen location because it is unknown territory for me, but I assume that you have made a conscious choice.
Take care, my friend!

My life has always been connected to hill country and this image suits my taste fine. I live on a hill now overlooking the country below...that is when the trees and foilage let you. Good to hear from you. Take care my friend.

Your mother would be pleased to read this and view the photo Alex.
A bond between a child and their mother is very special.
I enjoyed the photo and the narrative.

The UP area of Michigan where this shot is taken is astoundingly beautiful and I can understand your attachment to it - I have similar feelings about Door County Wisconsin. Glad to see you post this wonderful shot.
