I saw these branches and thought it would be interesting to be "caged" by them, trapped by nature which has captured my soul.

Thanks for sharing your self portraits with us Allie! I love the natural look it has to it (pardon me, I just had to say that :)...but it truly does. You appear quite comfortable with Mother Nature and it is wonderful to "meet and greet" you!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and for the comments on the photo. Mimi, I definitely am very comfortable with nature - my father was a botany major and even named me after a wildflower he learned about during a class outing. (Allie is just a nickname for my given name)

So nice to meet you Allie. You look totally enchanting framed in the shrubs. It’s the kind of place I often find myself in when I’m looking for bugs and birds with my camera.

Hi Allie

Good shot, but would you really want to be caged, or trapped ? I think not. Mother nature may have captured your soul, but remember nature is cruel to be kind, and only the fittest survive !!

Bye now Phil

Hmmm, maybe I would like to be caged or trapped by nature unless it kept me away from Caedes for too long. *grins*

Actually it is more of a frame than a cage as I could easily enter or leave it as I wished. But, being held captive (or captivated) by nature is not a bad thing, it is something that enriches your soul.

Watch out for that snake by your foot, just kidding. Great shot, very crisp & clear. Did you use a timer or did someone take this shot? Randy

*laughs* had there been a snake there I might have picked it up (if it wasn't of the poisonous variety). Actually I had the shot all lined up and the timer set, but there was no stable footing for the tripod, so I had to have someone act as "support staff".
