I think your image is very interesting. What I don't like is that you have a lot of action on the edges, but none at the bottom. I wish you had placed it somewhere else on the field or maybe zoom in a bit. I guess I meant to say I don like where the subject is located. However, that is just about the only thing that catches my eye. I like the tones and it reminds me of a christmas tree! lol...

Hmm, power of suggestion?
As I am in agreement with the above comment of the location of the image in the frame. If you had continued with the idea of placing the fractal in, say, the bottom right corner it would take away that question of 'what is happening underneath.'
Certainly, an interesting image. The dispersion of the shape as it mounts to the top, is what draws and guides my eye. Great colours. Cleanly rendered. Nice work.
