That little elf looks very sad and pensive to me, as if she had lost "something" she had loved so much and is now gone forever. But as I know from my own experiences little girls sometimes look like that when they are only tired and exhausted. I noticed the little lady wore some mascara and a greenish eye-shadow which perfectly matches her robe, the orange flower builds a perfect contrast. With her pretty hair-do and some glittering bands in her hair she does really look like a princess. I love the way you captured that moment, the sunny spots on the grass, this beautifully dressed little girl, it really looks like it was in fairy land. What was it, a wedding maybe ? Very good work from you, Frances, thumbs up !!!
great image! the orange flowers contrasts her pretty green dress so beuatifully! Plus details like her bare feet on the grass or the thoughtfull look on her face all add up to make this picture very special! well done
I love this image.. the lighting and composition is great.. you have captured a wonderful feel to this image, the feel of innocence and peace... your eye for detail is perfect.. this is on my desktop... its a pleasure to see beautiful work like this... wonderful
Ditto to all the ocmplimentary remarkes above. Gorgeous picture. The green eyeshadow, though , spoils it for me, in such a young girl. Maybe you could soften it, make it much more subtle.
A wonderful portrait of an adorable young lady. The image's colors are lush and warm. The red hair contrasts nicely with the overall green and blue-greens of the rest of the photo. Nice job!
What a delightful, whimsical image Frances! The girl is co-ordinated so well with with the flower and her make-up that this looks like a still life! What gorgeous red hair she has.I think I see some ribbons in it also? The dress certainly looks like one that I would expect to see a garden fairy wearing :~) The absence of shoes adds to the fairy myth! I love the dappled sunlight coming thru the trees and the orange tiger lily in her hands completes and already well composed image. Good color, high qaulity, clarity and composition. Thanks for posting this. Downloaded into my favorites folder on my harddrive :~)
I agree with all your above comments...normally people images don't do too well but on occassion you see one above the rest...this is one of those times...the location, shadows, colors of her hair and dress, and the pose she is in all go to making this quite charming and yes, fairy-like in appearance...a delightful shot...welll done.:Pat.
I don't think my comment posted so I repeat myself...
I care to bet that the reason why she is wearing makeup is because this pic was taken around Halloween. My lil sister (now 5) and my neice (now 2) were both Tinkerbell this past Halloween and I recognize the outfitt.
i like the simplicity of this photo. the fact that the girl is wearing green adds a lot to the image. (if it were another color i believe it would take away from it a great deal.) the lily really pops out of the image as well. nice composition.
This is very nice. I agree with all the wonderful comments above. The colors, the contract with the orange flower, the composition, the perspective. And I too don't usually like to see people in these images but this one is exceptional.
Super clear image of a lil princess. The colors are lovely as is that eyecatching flower - her dress is so delicate and a lovely pale shade. Having a lovely make believe day. Beautiful job - 10/10...
Very lovely picture, you've managed to "intrude" into her world without her playing to the camera. Colours, subject and framing are excellent, congratulations
she is as pretty as a picture. wait it is a picture. the lighting is great just enought sun light to show off her beautful red hair. just enought light to set off he dress agansent the grass.the orange flower with the darker center adds to the color of her hair.this is a picture that in my book no artist can paint to make it look this good. its a great image. great job. with her pose looks like an unexpected picture taken.
OMG! This image will remain in my mind,to pull out of the mind's filing cabinet for the rest of my life. How captivating and breathtaking! Oh the essence of childhood. The innocence, the no worries kinda life...so sweet and happy. Oh how I DO long for those feelings again and if I wonder if I would rather be concious of what I am now, or pray for the ignorance. A real masterpiece. Mystical, magickal...a little fairy rebel. If this picture set off imagination inside ur brain... Check amazon.com for the book "The Fairy Rebel".
