Nice winter shot Hebug. Looks so similar to Vancouver Island. I guess we're only a couple hundred miles away! I would say you either have a resident muskrat or mink in your pond. Or could be someone has thrown rocks in there?

i was wondering who threw something. but i threw a snowball and it didn't make that pattern. there's a sheet of ice on top of the pond then some snow on top but why is there that weird pattern. my sister thinks a bird pooed there or something. weirdness. still a mystery.

i like the photo... but it sure is a mystery what those holes are! they seem to be all throughout the pond... if you look kind of the distance in the photo you can see more! surely quite mysterious... i have no idea what it could be.
