Again taken from our tour of the UK. My husband had me in training to climb the highest mountain in the UK (Ben Nevis) and this was my first challange. 300ft is not that high but the view at the top provided 360o view of the area. I was stunned at how the colours of the mountain looked just like they had been taken straight from a map. Hope you like!

It's all a matter of personal taste, Rachel. These critiques that we write are just our opinions. We can mask them in technical dribble, but you either like something or you don't. I like this shot, but I probably would have removed about half of the sky. Presumably I would have removed the top half. I might have removed the bottom half, but that would have been quite difficult and would have resulted in a really weird looking shot.

gorgeous view, i bet you were knackered when you got to the top, i hope you managed to get to the top of ben nevis! Roger says he would cut off the sky, i would differ and cut off part of the bottom to get it more to adhere to the rule of thirds, but, as he said , its personal taste. i think its a cool shot and i love ths sky.

This image to me is fine as it is..It's in three parts foreground,middle and then sky..When you say Lake district and mention Ben Nevis..Which is this? as both are in different countries....This looks like it may be the Helvelyn area...R.
