I had a little go at cropped this in various different ways, trying it out on my desktop each time and eventually came to the conclusion that it was best left uncropped as this made the most pleasing desktop. The slight dark blurring in the far left is people walking by but i quite liked the hint of movement so left them in. Otherwise this is reasonably unedited. A very small tweaking of the levels and a clarity filter but that is all. Please let me know what you think.

It is not easy do so, Rachel, because you confrontate me with the same dilemma as the one you had to deal with. At first, I am tempted to say that it would have been better to crop out the faint silhouettes of people, but I realize very well that a portion of the atmosphere than will be lost. It's very difficult to take night- or time-shots in streets where people are walking in the nightly hours. To me almost a 'mission impossible', lol.
Apart from the above details, it's a pretty good shot to me.

Regards, Cornelius.

Rachel...Another killer night time shot. While I would have been upset if a troop of boy scouts had been jumping around in front of the camera, I actually like the wisps of humanity on the left side. I don't see them as a distraction to me at least. I've always liked the feeling of motion in a shot; so call me an oddball.

The colors are glorious. Bathed in golden light...how in the heck can you beat this shot. I'm considering nominating this to the AC. My concern is that the voters won't read your narrative and will see this as a simple daytime shot of a building. Dumb turds!

At the very least you are hereby awarded another "fave" since I apparently have unlimited "faves".

Your next chore as you hone your skills in to deflate the light sources. When you get there, I want a PM with a breakdown of your camera settings.

I like the composition, and the night capture here is pretty darn good, I would have tried to remove the people since you really cannot tell what that is in the picture.Tigs♥ =^..^=

Well the peeps really don't bother me in this. It is a street of shops after all. As Palral mentions, it isn't a pack of screaming boy-scouts flipping inappropriate gestures at the camera, lol. I love the color and textures. The angle of the shot gives a wonderful sense of depth as well. Nice job.

Emptiness is not nothingness. It is simply the opposite of full of it.

A nice angle and perspective in the photo, Rachel. Nice details, textures and lighting. A nice capture of the Ghosts of Bath out roaming the dark night streets.
