A photograph from last year over Easter, taken at Stourhead in Wilshire. Im really not keen on uploading flower photographs and try to avoid it but i rather like this one and recently the pictures ive had sitting in my shoe box have had a good reception so i thought i would give it a go. All constructive advice warmly recieved :D

You got a good DOF on this Rachel..your focal point looks to be about 2 thirds in?..foreground is nicely blurred!..I might have been tempted to make this into a 'letterbox' format!...losing the foreground a bit!

You just keep on posting these lovelies!...

Rachel, I really like this one, good color, and lighting, but I would have tried to crop out the front where it is really blurred, I think it distracts from this lovely image. Tigs♥ =^..^=

What the people ahead of me are trying to say is that this is not up to the usual quality of your postings. The foreground is blurred, and I'm not sure where to look since there are so many things going on and it's difficult for my brain to pick a focal point. I would have rather seen you pan to the left and keep the shot void of the house and tree and sky and concentrated on the two kinds of flowers.

Don't fret. I've posted some shots that were not as good as others.

I have to agree with Roger, he has posted some photos that were not as good as others.

I like the low vantage point you've chosen to shoot this scene from. A lovely mix of colours in the photo and a great looking gnarled old tree. Perhaps a slight crop of the foreground for personal taste.

This is such a cool shot. Much more than a flower shot, although they are lovely. The tree adds so much to this, along with the distant slice of sky. I agree that some cropping up front might be in order, but actually I like it just as it is. Faved.
