This is for Bob (Dunstickin) and Cornelius (Corngrowth) as they have both uploaded rape seed shots in the last 24hrs and so i thought i would join their merry band wagon! I had to crop a lot from this image to get the effect i wanted but im happy with the compositon in the end mainly because i like the focus on the gentle undulation of the land. Let me know what you think, comments and critiques always warmly recieved :)

This stretch of greenery is a delight to my eyes!..love the lines throughout, a tad soft, but at the distance this was snapped you done really good!..

And...thank you for this dedication to Mr C and myself!..

if you wish to 'join the band'..'Last of the Summer Wine' comes to mind and there is a space for 'Nora Batty'!....LOL

Rachel, I like to join me in the by Owd Bob spoken words above, as his use of the English language is far better than mine.

Like to say however that each of the three images have their own charm. The saying: "One can't compare apples with oranges (in Dutch it are pears however, because they are cheaper, lol))", is in this context a proper one.

Thanks for providing us wit a very fine image, and thanks again for the dedication to the Owd Mucker Bob and me.

Regards, Cornelius.

Wonderful image of this rape seed field Rachel. Like Cornelius says, each of the images have their own charm. I like the lines and soft rolling landscape throughout the field in your image and can well understand what you were trying to achieve. Well done!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Other than the recent postings that you mentioned, I've never seen anything like this. The farmers are very good at planting parallel rows. You did a great job of incorporating those into your image. I like the wide angle which displays the massive field and the depth of thje shot. Obviously the colors are spectacular as well.

A nicely captured and presented scene, Rachel. I like the lines in the crop and the rolling landscape. Good work.
