It does indeed look like fireworks. It also reminds me of the japanese fans made of paper that you got at the carnival as a prize. You could fold it up or open it all the way with the two handles coming together and you'd have a round paper fan.

I love this design. I like the energy of the image and the motion from the explosion. the colours and highlights are perfect for the image and this is another to go into the fav folder. Excellent work
