back in the summer of 93 (August, I believe), I drove thru Missouri on i70, from Colorado to West Virginia .. this was the year that the Missouri River flooded so BAD, and we had seen it on the news but there is always a sense of detachment when watching the news.
We just, all of a sudden, hit a section where the water came right up to the roadside, we didn't know that it wasn't a lake .. until we looked out to the side and saw all of the barn rooftops and grain silos almost submerged .. it was quite a shock, miles and miles of water that shouldn't have been there .. then we went over the actual river
Well, if they had only kept those levees in good condition...ooo wrong city, huh? (Keifer's story). This is such a nice classic shot of a very interestingly shaped bridge. I like the way you cropped it vertically. The captiol building (which I thought the Federal Capitol building in one of your other shots) adds a nice bit of interest in the distance.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Mega wide shot here, I take it there is a river somewhere (judging by Kieths story The Missouri? )or is it a sort of floodplane? No matter...a nice scene mate.
