Ah, this is so pleasant with the soft mist just revealing another heron in the distance. The tufts of grasses make lovely silhouettes in this nicely colored image. Such a lovely image. It has an Asian flair. lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What a perfect summer evening pic...it is sharp where it needs to be sharp and misty where it should be misty. I can just barely see another bird in the background. Or is it a prehistoric mini-dragon rising out of the pond? :) Nice composition, holding the interest in the center with the wedge pointing to the subject and grounding the entire thing on the lower right.

Well, this is of course in my birds fave file, and to me it almost has an oriental art feel to it. An excellent job, my friend. :)

Wonderful shot. I've always liked silhouettes (had to look that word up!) and dark places in photos it adds a bit of mystery and leaves something to the imagination. Thanks for sharing.

What a picture!! Stunning mate. I got a book on exposure and it`s got a similar style of picture but it`s not as good as this. One of your best I think and I`m glad I never missed it.
