Another hazy blown out day in Missouri...ugh!! The Osage River...this is what they call the Osage Bend. A grrreat place for a photo-op, just not today I'm afraid. I hope you enjoy anyway!! This is one (1) capture, not a pano.

Were you up a mountain man ? This looks from way high! It`s a shame about the haze but it`s not to bad as it still looks like a great view, I like the line of trees going along the river bank on the other side, looks like their actually in the water.

Pretty nice take for a hazy day. In my class, the instructor said a warming filter could help these situations. Either the real filter or later on in photoshop. I love the view. It reminds me of the Connecticut River.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I enjoyed! I looked up the Big Bend of the Osage River in my atlas to pinpoint where you took this. Despite the hot and hazies, it's a gorgeous shot... feels like I'm flying above it.

Hot and hazy I understand, and I'm glad that Cindy gave out that tip about the warming filter..have to try that. Lovely composition on this one, as you said, it's hard to beat this view !! :)

I love the hazy, humid look of it! The river is so calm and the trees seem to grow right out of it on the other side...very nice :)

I think the haze gives it a more tangible feel. Nice shot.

hey it is still very picturesque Randy! lovely sweep of the river to the right and even if it is not perfect weather you still capture the atmosphere of an overcast day! ...just make sure you go back and capture it again in different weather conditions then we can enjoy the view again! Patti
