~The seaweed is always greener In somebody else's lake You dream about going up there But that is a big mistake Just look at the world around you Right here on the ocean floor Such wonderful things surround you What more is you lookin' for?~

What a great shot. The abundance of colour is amazing as is the clarity of the shot. A beautiful underwater picture.

Oh yes, "feather duster worms" ~ well I'm almost 99.99% positively sure. They actually are very shy & will retract their crowns into their tubes when disturbed. An amazing capture Randy ~ the clarity & detail are awesome. On my desktop & off to the faves. Thank you sir.

Correction ~ it is a zoanthid & is in the same family as sea anenome's. Now I'm 99.99 & a 1/2 % positive. LOL.

Now when were you on the ocean floor? Such a lovely fractal this would make. lol I love the fluorescence and the many little proturberances around the perimeters. Nature never ceases to amaze with her wonderful designs. Thanks for showing me something I had yet to see. Beautiful.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

See what happens when you drink too much...you end up in the bottom of the lake taking pictures. Nice picture considering you can only hold your breath for 15 seconds.

A magical image - what on earth were you doing under the water? Oh yes, of course, taking wonderful photos.
The colours and movement in these sea anenomes is great.
Excellent post.

What a magnificent photo! There is nothing as pretty as the life under the sea. It's all 'stuff' most of us never get to look at.
And here you gave us such beauty. What are these called? And why did someone say these are fractals? They are just precious.V
