Wow Randy...you have managed to highlight my favorite backyard feeder bird so incredibly. The presentation here is quite unique. Your color is crisp, the clarity is..well, clear ..lol, I consider this good quality and again, the composition of the entire image is wonderfully unique. Good thinking outside the box my friend ;=)
A new desktop for me and into the favorites it goes!!!

Dare to be daring I always say! lol I know you like to take chances and this came out really well. Another little stroke of genius with the reds, blacks and whites bringing out the color of the cardinal, but didn't you break a cardinal rule? lol Didn't you say never use a primary color in your image for the frame color? A wonderful work here, Randy.

Cindy got there before me mentioning your frame rule - sometimes even your own rules have to be broken and in this it works perfectly.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this image - exceptional!

it's a great shot of a cardinal, but for me, the b&w part was a bit too far. Maybe if you had just reduced the saturation. The cardinal looks a bit too unreal against the b&w.
I like how you did the background in b&w, brings out the true red colors, nice one Randy. Also, while I am here, thank you for your comment on my photo "I know what your thinking" Have a good day.
Great presentation and de-satch, Randy. The highly bright reds work well here against the monochromatic background. Um, was this on the shelf a while? the copywrite states '07... ;-)
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
le sujet est très bien centré ,,,quel bel oiseau...félicitation pour le cadrage que vous avez utilisé celui-ci fait ressortir les coloris du cardinal mâle
