I've looked and looked and can't find a name for this piece, sorry!! This was located around the Victorian District at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Perhaps one of the others from the group knows the name of this??

Any and all comments and critiques welcome!!

I thought maybe it was a tomb, so I searched on Google, and found that Henry Shaw is buried there, in a structure similar to this, but it's not it. Maybe it's a fancy out house. LOL. Naw. Well, whatever it is, it a nice looking one. If it was mine, I'd put it in the back yard, knock out the windows, and I'd have a fine looking stone gazebo. LOL.

I am a nut about Botanical Gardens so I had to look it up also.

It is here that Garden founder Henry Shaw rests. The rose colored granite, octagonal mausoleum with the copper roof is his final resting place. He is laid to rest beneath a white marble sculpture

Thanks for sharing I have got to make a point to visit someday. The only time I go through St Louis is on the way to somewhere else and you really don't see much more then the Arch on 1-70

A NOTE TO ALL MY FRIENDS: I WILL BE COMMENTING LESS ON PEOPLE IN MY “FRIENDS” LIST SO AS TO MAKE TIME FOR VIEWING ALL “NEW IMAGES” AND ENCOURAGING OTHER PEOPLE OF WHOM I MAY NOT KNOW OR ARE NEW TO THE SITE. I WILL STILL VIEW EVERY IMAGE OF MY FRIENDS AND STILL COMMENT ON SOME IF I CAN GIVE A GOOD CRITIQUE OR MENTION WHAT I LIKE OR FEEL IS REALLY WORKIN’ WELL IN THE IMAGE. AS FAR AS MY IMAGES IF YOU HAVE A COMMENT ON HOW I CAN IMPROVE AN IMAGE I REALLY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THAT SO AS TO LEARN AND BETTER MYSELF.
