I am the only one out of step - I am not so keen on the colour of the background - but the rose itself - simply stunning. Simplicity being it's outstanduing feature. The faint blush of pink and the smoothness of the closed petals is perfect.

Hey Randy....this is for sure a hottrockin' photo! I think it's amazing when even the smallest part of flowers can cast a shadow. I might enjoy doing a painting of this one day, on the black canvas that I sometimes use. I like that you had this Rose be at that particular angle.Personally I wish the BG were black..but it's nice the way it is too. All a matter of preference I guess. Very nicely presented, you know what Thoreau says "Simplicity is Elegance." ya did it!! Verena
