OMG Jonathan, this sure brings back great memories when I lived in NC. I was born near the good old blue ridge but lived most of the time on the ocean. Fab-u-lous capture.
Just 290 ft. taller than Mt. Washington in the the White Mountains of NH. There is another mountain that is in between these two in height, but I don't know what it is. Those must be the Blue Ridge Mts. over yonder. I find the color of them to be quite awesome. Great shot, Jonathan. Thanks.
Absolutely Beautiful!! But I have seen these mountains many times. I was raised in Roan Mountain and I never tire of these gorgeous hills!! It's elevation is 6,285!!

Beautiful image and beautiful entry! So... that's probably why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains, they fade out into that lovely smoky blueness...
