This is the Lake Valley Ghost Town in Lake Valley, NM. Back in 1878 the town produced over $2,000,000 in revenue from ore mining. - Taken Jun. 2008

It must be saddening to see a town go from something so busy to something that desolate, I like the forgotten feel to this shot, and can't help wondering if there is really any ghosts?

If we didn't have stupid people who would we laugh at?
Perhaps the muted colors of this help to promote that desolate feeling. I was going to suggest a bit more contrast, but I think I'm reconsidering!

I like the Ghost Towns of long ago, and good photos of them to remind us how fortunate lots of us are today. Nice shot.
